You can run them at 18vdc no problem but they just sound better at 21vdc. How I get there and also many of my customers that have these latest units, is by running a voltage doubler cable on a power supply such as the Strymon Zuma or the Cioks units and others. The doubler cable uses one outlet at 9vdc and one at 12vdc for a total of 21vdc to the pedal. You want that 9v outlet to give 200ma at least.
