The Benson Amps - Preamp Pedal, here in a limited Flower Child finish, delivers amp like touch sensitivity and clean tones in a pedalboard friendly format. This preamp pedal is based on the Benson Chimera 30 Watt guitar amplifier, but substitutes FET transistors for the vacuum tubes. With the volume on a guitar backed off it gets nice and jangly for open chords, with the gain cranked, it gets fuzzy in a very usable way with a focused low end. A great addition to any pedalboard looking for amp like overdrive tones.
