Deep body Grand Concert size nylon string guitar with soft cutaway. 15" wide, 4 5/8" deep. Solid Engelmann Spruce top with Nylon Series bracing. Solid top grade Brazilian Rosewood sides and two-piece back. Gloss finish. Mahogany one-piece neck. 18 fret Ebony fingerboard with no inlay (1 7/8" at nut). Ebony bridge. Tusq nut and saddle. Custom wood body binding and back strip. East Indian Rosewood headstock overlay.. Ping Classical Gold tuners with ivoroid buttons. Fishman Matrix undersaddle pickup with 9V battery and end pin jack (no controls on guitar). Hardshell case in excellent condition.
50 of these Brazilian Rosewood NS72BC guitars were built in a limited run during Taylor's first year of Nylon String Series production in 2002.
Taylor no longer offers Brazilian Rosewood as a custom option on its Nylon Series guitars, but Brazilian is an approximately $5000 upcharge (list price) on other Taylor models, when available.
